BEREA, OHIO --  Baldwin Wallace University junior defender Trey Arney (Coshocton) has been named to the 2013 All-Ohio Athletic Conference second-team.

Arney has been a starter the past three seasons and a key on a defense that allowed just 27 goals in 21 matches this season for a 1.33 goals-against average.  Offensively, he played in and started all 21 matches, took nine shots, including six on-goal, and scored one goal for two points.

After three seasons, Arney has helped the Yellow Jackets compile a 30-23-7 record, including a school-record 16 wins and the school's first-ever NCAA Division III Tournament berth in 2011. Individually, Arney has appeared in 52 matches, taken 25 total shots, including 13 on-goal, scored four goals and eight points.

In addition to being an outstanding soccer player, Arney is a fine student who carries a 3.56 grade average and majors in biology. The Dean's List student and Jacket Scholar will earn his first Academic All-OAC award this fall.

"We are pleased for Trey," said veteran Head Coach Reid Ayers.  "He is a fine young man who excells both in the classroom and on the field.  We are looking forward to his return next season as one of our key team leaders."

The Yellow Jackets finished 7-11-3 this fall.
