BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin-Wallace College senior three-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference forward Carlin Vandendriessche (Medina) has been named as OAC Men's Soccer Player-of-the-Week for his performance during the week of September 5-11, 2011.  This marks the second time in his career that Vandendriessche has earned the weekly honor.

Vandendriessche scored his first four goals of the season to lead the Yellow Jacket men to three wins against Oberlin College, 2-1,  on Sept. 6, versus Spalding (Ky.) University, 5-1, on Sept. 9 and at Centre (Ky.) College, 2-1, in double overtime.  Against, Spalding, he recorded his first hat-trick of the season as he scored three goals in the second half, including two in a span of 1:04.  Vandendriessche closed out the week by recording the game-winner at Centre in double overtime at the 110 minute mark

With the four goals,  he moved into second place on the all-time goals scored list with 34 and fourth on the all-time scoring list with 73 career points.  Vandendriessche is just two goals shy of tying Jeff Schenk (1983-86) for the all-time Yellow Jacket goals scored with 36 and needs seven points to tie Tyler Leister (2007-10) for third on the all-time scoring list with 80.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Wednesday, September 14 when they play host to Cleveland cross-town rival Case Western Reserve University on the Tressel Field pitch in the George Finnie Stadium at 7:00 p.m.   B-W will then hit the road on Saturday, September 17 when it will travel to Grove City, Pennsylvania to take the Wolverines of Grove City College in the first game of a men's and women's soccer doubleheader at 1:00 p.m.
