WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's basketball team fell to Wilmington College by a score of 73-71 on a last second shot in overtime on Hermann Court in Fred Raizk Arena.
BW Leaders (6-17, 3-13 OAC)
- Senior forward Rob Watson III (Sagamore Hills/Nordonia) finished with his first career double-double finishing with a career-high 12 rebounds while also adding 12 points, two assists, and three blocks
- Junior forward Jarred Logan (Elyria/Elyria Catholic) stayed hot with a game-high 16 points while also recording six rebounds
- Sophomore guard Brayden Hamilton (Brunswick) drilled four three-pointers giving him 12 points
Wilmington Leaders (9-14, 5-11 OAC)
- Junior guard Domenic Farley was the Quakers' leading scorer with 15 points including the game-winner
- Junior forward Gavin Heimlich and forward Matthew Dugue each grabbed nine rebounds
- Junior guard Rashid Chisholm added 11 points and grabbed six rebounds
First Half (BW, 30-24)
- Hamilton hit three of his four threes on the day
- The Brown and Gold bench continued to contribute as it scored a combined 18 points
- BW led by as much as 12 points late in the first half
Second Half (Tied 65-65)
- Watson III led the Yellow Jackets in outrebounding Wilmington 22-12 with six of his own
- Logan assisted three times and blocked two shots
- BW held a lead for nearly 19 minutes of the half
Overtime (Wilmington, 73-71)
- Senior Academic All-OAC guard Luke Driscoll (Carmel, Calif./Stevenson School) reached double-figures on a fastbreak layup off a steal leading a 4-1 run for the Yellow Jackets
- The BW defense had two steals causing two turnovers
- Farley hit a jumper as time expired to give the Quakers the victory
The Yellow Jackets return to the hardwood on Wednesday, February 17 as they host a Seniors' Night game and an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup against Heidelberg University in Ursprung Gymnasium inside the Lou Higgins Center at 7 p.m.
