WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's basketball team has been selected to finish seventh in the Ohio Athletic Conference Coaches Preseason Poll.

The Yellow Jackets, receiving 31 points in the OAC coaches' vote, sit at seventh after being tabbed sixth in the preseason polls last year. Defending conference champion and national runners-up University of Mount Union tied with John Carroll University as first-place favorites by receiving 77 points and five first-place votes each. Marietta College was the third-place choice receiving 63 points while Otterbein University and Heidelberg University round out the top five with 54 and 53 points, respectively.

Baldwin Wallace is led this season by ninth-year head coach Tom Heil. The squad returns six letterwinners and one Academic All-OAC selection from last year's team that finished seventh in the OAC with an overall record of 12-13 and a 8-10 record in conference play.

BW opens the 2023-24 campaign on Wednesday, November 8 as it hosts a non-conference game against Washington & Jefferson (Pa.) College in Ursprung Gymnasium inside the Lou Higgins Center at 7 p.m.
