BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Mark Zimmerman played his freshman season of baseball at Baldwin Wallace University in the spring of 2013 and earned his first varsity letter.
GENERAL BASEBALL INFORMATION : As a freshman in 2012-2013, Mark earned his first varsity letter, had an outstanding freshman season and ended the year as the starting second baseman. He appeared in 35 varsity games, started 30 and batted .324 (35-for-108) to rank fourth on the team. He also had 19 runs scored, eight doubles, one triple, one home run, 23 runs batted-in and seven stolen bases in nine attempts. Mark also has the ability to pitch, but did not as a freshman. He helped the Yellow Jackets tie the single-season school-record for wins with 27 and compile a 27-13 overall record.
As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Mark is expected to battle for a starting role and to be a key contributor.
ACADEMIC INFORMATION: Mark is undecided about his major.

HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Mark Zimmerman grew up in Akron, Ohio and graduated from Green High School. He played four years of baseball and lettered three times. Mark also played football for three years and earned three varsity letters.
In baseball as a junior and senior, Mark was named as a first team All-Suburban League selection. Following his senior season, he was also selected as an honorable mention All-State performer. In football as a senior, Mark was named earned first team All-SL accolades.
