BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION:   Jon Tenley played four years of varsity baseball at Baldwin Wallace University (2010-2013) and earned three varsity letters.

ACADEMIC HONORS:   Jon carried a 3.4 grade point average.  In 2012-2013, he was inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma Athletics Honor Society.  

ATHLETIC HONORS:  As a junior in 2011-2012, Jon was named as a second-team d3baseball.com (www.d3baseball.com web site) All-Mideast Region selection.

GENERAL BASEBALL INFORMATION:    Jon Tenley played four seasons of baseball at Baldwin Wallace University and earned three varsity letters. He was one of the best relief pitchers in the history of the program and set a single-season record with seven saves in 2012 and a career record with 11 total saves. The 2012 d3baseball.com All-Mideast Region "stopper" helped the Yellow Jackets compile a four-year record of 83-66-1 overall.

Individually, Jon appeared in 34 career games, including two starts, and compiled a 1-5 record with a 5.00 earned run average and 34 strikeouts in 45 innings pitched.

As a freshman in 2009-2010, Jon played his first season of baseball but did not letter.  He split time between the varsity and junior varsity teams. He pitched in three games, including one starting assignment.  In 6.2 innings, Jon compiled a 0-2 record with a 6.75 earned run average with four strikeouts. BW finished the year with a 12-23-1 record.   

As a sophomore in 2010-2011, Jon played in his second season of baseball and earned his first varsity letter.  He appeared in 10 games and earned the role of closer.  He did not give up a run in 10.2 innings pitched and recorded a 1-0 record with four saves and struck out four. BW finished the season 17-17.

As a junior in 2011-2012, Jon played in his third season of baseball and earned his second varsity letter. He appeared in 17 games and was the "closer/ stopper". He compiled a 0-3 record with a 4.88 earned run average and had a school single-season record seven saves and struck out 24 batters in 24 innings pitched. For his efforts, he was named as a second-team d3baseball.com (www.d3baseball.com web site) All-Mideast Region selection. BW had a school single-season record 27 wins and a 27-13 overall record.

As a senior in 2013-2014, Jon played his fourth season of baseball and earned his third letter.  Despite battling with an arm injury all season, Jon managed to pitch in four games, including one starting assignment. He had a 0-0 record with a 17.18 ERA and two strikeouts in three and two-third innings pitched. He helped the Yellow Jackets compile a 27-13 overall record and tie the single-season school-record for victories.

CLUBS OR ORGANIZATIONS AT BW:    Jon is a member of the Pre-Physical Theraphy & Exercise Science Club.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION:   Jon Tenley grew up in Wadsworth, Ohio and graduated from Wadsworth High School.  He played baseball his freshman and sophomore years, but did not earn a varsity letter.
