BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Hunter Handel played his freshman season of baseball at Baldwin Wallace University in the spring of 2013. He earned his first varsity letter.
As a freshman in 2012-2013, Hunter came off the bench to play first base or serve as a designated or pinch hitter. He appeared in 24 games and started 12. Hunted batted .255 (13-for-51) with four runs scored, two doubles and six runs batted-in. He helped the Yellow Jackets tie the single-season school-record for wins with 27 and compile a 27-13 overall record.
As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Hunter will battle for more playing time and be a key returning varsity contributor.
ACADEMIC INFORMATION: Hunter is a pre-med and biology major (pre-optometry).

HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Hunter Handel grew up in Akron, Ohio and graduated from Green High School. He played four years of baseball and lettered two times. Hunter also played four years of hockey and earned four varsity letters. He also ran one year of cross country and earned one varsity letter.
In baseball as a senior, Hunter was named as an All-Suburban League second team selection.
