BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION: John Taylor played his freshman season of baseball at Baldwin Wallace University in the spring of 2013. He earned his first varsity letter.
GENERAL BASEBALL INFORMATION : As a freshman in 2012-2013, John played his first season of baseball and earned his first varsity letter. He saw action on the varsity as an outfielder and appeared in 31 games, including six starts. John had a .237 batting average (9-for-38) with six runs scored, a triple, four runs batted-in (RBI) and two stolen bases in three attempts. He helped the Yellow Jackets tie the single-season school-record for wins with 27 and compile a 27-13 overall record.
As a sophomore in 2013-2014, look for John to battle for more playing time and a starting role on the varsity.
ACADEMIC INFORMATION: John is undecided about his major.

HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: John Taylor grew up in Stow, Ohio and graduated from Hudson High School. He played four years of baseball and lettered two times.
In baseball as a senior, John was named to the Northeast Ohio Conference All-Star Team.
Academically, John was awarded the Hudson and NOC Scholar-Athlete award following his senior year.
