BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION: As a sophomore in 2012-2013, Alex played his second season of baseball and earned his second varsity letter. As a junior in 2013-2014, Alex will compete in his third season of baseball and try to earn his third varsity letter.
ATHLETIC HONORS: As a sophomore in 2012-2013, Alex earned second-team All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors as an outfielder.
GENERAL BASEBALL INFORMATION: As a freshman in 2011-2012, Alex played his first season of baseball and earned his first varsity letter. He appeared in 24 games mostly in right field, started 13, batted .264 (14-of-53) with 10 runs scored, three doubles, 14 runs batted-in (RBI) and stole two bases. He helped B-W win a school-record 27 games and compile a 27-13 overall record.
As a sophomore in 2012-13, Alex played his second season of baseball and earned his second letter. He played in 36 games, split time between RF and designated hitter, started 33 contests, batted .361 (43-for-119) with 21 runs scored, eight doubles, three triples, one home run, 29 RBI and four steals in eight attempts. He earned second-team All-OAC honors. Alex helped BW to tie the single-season school-record for wins with 27 and compile a 27-13 overall record.
As a junior in 2013-2014, Alex will return as one of the top OF's in the OAC.
HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Alex Green grew up in Pickerington, Ohio and graduated from Pickerington North. He played four years of baseball and basketball. He earned three varsity letters in baseball and two in basketball.
As a senior in 2011, Alex earned second-team All-Ohio Capital Conference and honorable mention All-Central District honors.
