BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Luke Ackerman played his second season of baseball at Baldwin Wallace University in the spring of 2013. He has earned one varsity letter (2012) and a Certificate of Participation (2013).
Luke also played one season of football (2011-2012) and earned a Certificate of Participation.
GENERAL FOOTBALL INFORMATION: As a freshman in 2011-2012, Luke played his first season of football and received a Certificate of Participation. He saw action on the Junior Varsity team as a fullback. BW finished 8-2 overall.
He did not play football as a sophomore.
GENERAL BASEBALL INFORMATION: As a freshman in 2011-2012, Luke played his first season of baseball and earned a varsity letter. As a relief pitcher, he appeared in three games. He pitched two innings, allowed one base hit and two earned runs. BW finished with a single-season school-record 27 victories and a 27-13 overall record.
As a sophomore in 2012-2013, Luke played his second season of baseball and received a Certificate of Participation. He served as a pitcher on the junior varsity team. BW again tied the single-season school-record for wins with 27 and compiled a 27-13 overall mark.
As a junior in 2013-2014, Luke is expected to again battle for a spot on the varsity pitching staff.

HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Luke Ackerman grew up in Sheffield Lake, Ohio and graduated from Brookside High School. He played four years of football and baseball and earned three varsity letters in each sport. He also played four years of basketball and earned two letters.
In football as a junior, Luke was a first-team All-Patriot Athletic Conference, first-team All-Lorain County and honorable mention All-District performer. As a senior, Luke was named as a first-team All-PAC, All-County, All-District and All-Ohio.
In baseball, Luke earned first-team All-PAC following junior and senior seasons. He also was tabbed first-team All-County as as senior.
