BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Jay Yost did not play baseball at Baldwin Wallace University in the spring of 2013, opting to sit out the season due to an illness. He is expected to return in 2013-2014 for his senior season and to be one of the top student-athletes for the Yellow Jacket diamondmen. He has already earned a pair of varsity letters.
ATHLETIC HONORS: As a junior in 2012, Jay was named as a second-team All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection. As a sophomore in 2011, Jay was awarded the team Gold Glove Award as voted by the players.
GENERAL BASEBALL INFORMATION: For his career, Jay is hitting .320 (77-for-241) with 55 runs scored, 17 doubles, one homerun and 38 runs batted-in. He also is 21-for-27 in stolen base attempts.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Jay Yost grew up in Bascom, Ohio and graduated from Hopewell-Loudon High School. He played four years of baseball, four seasons of football and four seasons of basketball. He earned three varsity letters in baseball, two in football and two in basketball.
In baseball as a sophomore, Jay was honorable mention All-Midland Athletic League. As a junior, he was All-MAL Player of the Year, District Player-of-the-Year runner-up and second-team All-Ohio. As a senior, Jay was again named as a second-team All-Ohio performer for Division IV.
In football as a junior, Jay was named as an honorable mention All-MAL performer. As a senior, he was selected as a first-team All-MAL, All-District and second-team All-Ohio performer. Also in football during his senior season, Jay was a member of Hopewell-Loudon's OHSAA Division VI State Runner-Up team.
In basketball as a junior, Jay was honorable mention All-MAL.
