BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Michael Belak did not play baseball for Baldwin Wallace in 2012-2013 due to an injury. He is expected to return for his junior season in 2013-2014 and fight for a spot in the Yellow Jacket rotation
GENERAL BASEBALL INFORMATION: Michael has had a solid baseball career thus far. BW has recorded 27-13 record following his first season in the Brown & Gold. Michael spent his freshman season on the junior varsity squad and will look to become a contributer on the Yellow Jackets pitching staff in the future.
As a freshman in 2012, Michael competed in his first season of baseball and spent time on the junior varsity squad. For his efforts, he earned a certificate of participation for his efforts.
As a sophomore in 2013, Michael sat out the season due to injury.
As a junior in 2014, Michael will compete in his third season of baseball and will try to earn his first varsity letter.
HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Michael Belak grew up in Chagrin Falls, Ohio and graduated from Notre Dame Cathedral Latin High School. Michael played four years of baseball and earned two varsity letters. He also played two years of basketball and football, but did not earn a varsity letter.
Michael earned many accolades in baseball during his junior and senior season such as being named a "Notable Pitcher" in the Plain Dealer and the Lorain County News-Herald. As a senior, he was also named as a first-team All-North Coast Conference and honorable mention All-District performer. Statistically, Michael posted a 1.000 fielding percentage and a record of 7-2 on the mound throughout his career.
