BW Track and Field Teams Compete at Gregory Invitational

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Several members of the Baldwin Wallace University women's track and field team competed at the Gregory Invitational hosted by North Central College in attempt to qualify or better their marks for the NCAA Division III National Championships.

The Yellow Jacket women were led by sophomore All-American Kim Gallavan (Auburn Township/Kenston) finished first in the discus with a career-best throw of 151 feet and four inches.  Gallavan's throw was the fifth best in the NCAA this season.  She also placed second in the hammer throw with a season-best mark of 162'7".
In addition to Gallavan in the field events, senior Victoria Brown (Berlin Center/Western Reserve) won the high jump with a leap of 5'6. 5".  Sophomore Ohio Athletic Conference Hammer Throw Champion Maggie Urban (Cleveland/St. Joseph Academy) placed fourth in the hammer with a toss of 161'5". Freshman Kasey Clouse (Norwalk/Western Reserve) took fifth in the discus with a mark of 129'5".
In the running events, senior All-OAC and Academic All-OAC middle distance runner Brooke Hradisky (Aurora) finished sixth in the 800-meter run with a career-best time of 2:15.21.
The 2014 NCAA Division III National Championships are on May 22-24 in Delaware, Ohio on the campus of Ohio Wesleyan University.
