BALDWIN WALLACE UNIVERSITY ATHLETIC INFORMATION: Kim Gallavan is competing in her second season of track and field at Baldwin Wallace University in 2013-2014. She is a Division III All-American.

ATHLETICS HONORS:  As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Kim earned Division III All-American honors indoors with a sixth place finish in the weight throw at the 2014 NCAA Division III Indoor National Championship Meet. She also earned All-OAC honors indoors in the weight throw (second) and shot put (third).

Outdoors as a sophomore, Kim earned All-Ohio honors in the shot put (champion) and discus (second). She also was All-OAC in the shot put (champion), discus (champion) and hammer (second) and received the OAC Outdoor Track Thrower of the Year award.

OAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS: As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Kim has earned OAC Women's Track Athlete of the Week honors three times. She was named as the OAC Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week on Feb. 3, 2014 for her efforts at the Findlay Elite Throwers Meet. Kim earned OAC Outdoor Women's Track Athlete of the Week on March 24, 2014 for her performance at the UNC-Charlotte 49er Meet. She earned OAC Outdoor Women's Track Athlete of the Week honors on April 7 for her efforts at the Ohio Wesleyan University Marv Frye Invitational on April 5. 

SCHOOL RECORDS:  Kim owns the indoor school-record in the weight throw with a toss of 56'10".

INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD INFORMATION: As a freshman in 2012-2013, Kim competed in her first season of indoor track and field. She had a season-bests of 40'7" in shot put and 45'3.5" in the weight throw.

As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Kim competed in her second season of indoor track and field. She earned NCAA Division III All-American honors indoors with a sixth place finish in the weight throw. She also earned All-OAC honors indoors in the weight throw (second) and shot put (third). Kim was named as the OAC Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week on Feb. 3, 2014 for her efforts at the OAC North Split Squad Meet at Ohio Northern. She had a school-record throw of 56'10" in the weight throw and 43'3" in the shot put.

OUTDOOR TRACK AND FIELD INFORMATION:   As a freshman in 2012, Kim competed in her first season of outdoor track and earned her first letter. She competed in the throwing events (shot put, discus and hammer). She had a team-best throws of 40'4" in the shot put, 137'8" in the discus and a season-best throw of 120'0" in the hammer.

As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Kim is competing in her second season of outdoor track and field and will earn her second letter. She earned OAC Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week on March 24, 2014 for her performance at the UNC-Charlotte 49er Meet. She earned OAC Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week on April 7 for her efforts at the Ohio Wesleyan Marv Frye Meet on April 5, 2014. At the 2014 All-Ohio Championship Meet, Kim placed first in the shot put and second in the discus. At the 2014 OAC Championship Meet, Kim was the champion in the shot put and discus and placed second in the hammer. For her efforts, she was named as the 2014 OAC Outdoor Track & Field Thrower of the Year.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Kim Gallavan grew up in Auburn Township, Ohio and graduated from Kenton High School. Kim competed in soccer and track for four years and earned four varsity letters in each sport.

In track, Kim was a four-time first-team All-Chagrin Valley Conference performer in the shot put. In the discus, she earned first-team All-CVC honors once and second-team accolades once.
