Yellow Jackets Women Compete in Mid-February Meet

BEREA, Ohio –The Baldwin Wallace University men's and women's indoor track and field teams competed at the annual Mid-February Meet on the Harrison Dillard Track inside the Lou Higgins Center Fieldhouse.

The BW women were led by senior distance runner Blair Vrcan (Mentor) who ran the 5000 meter race in a time of 20:30.50 which gave her a third place finish. 
  
In running events for the women, sophomore sprinter Jasmine Moore (Cleveland Heights) ran a time of 1:08.25, which was good enough for a fourth place finish.
 
Sophomore distance runner Alyssa Nieset (Geneva) placed fifth in the 1000 meter with a time of 3:32.77
 
Freshman Lindsay Armstrong placed fifth in the 55 meter hurdles with a time of 9.74.
 
Sophomore distance runner Molly Rehor (Fairview Park) ran a time of 20:39.45 in the 5000 meter race, which was good enough for a fifth place finish.   
 
The Yellow Jacket track and field teams are back in action on Saturday, February 15 when they travel to Westerville to compete at the All-Ohio Championship Meet hosted by Otterbein University at 12:00 p.m.  The next home meet is the Greater Cleveland Championships on February 21 on the Harrison Dillard Track at 5 p.m.
