BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION:   James Ritchie competed in his second season of wrestling at Baldwin Wallace University in 2015-2016. He earned his first varsity letter.

ACADEMIC HONORS:  James carries a 3.76 grade point average, is a Dean's List student and a member of the Alpha Lambda Honor Society.

ACADEMIC ALL-OAC:  As a sophomore in 2015-2016, James earned Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference honbors.

GENERAL WRESTLING INFORMATION:  As a freshman in 2014-2015, James competed in his first season of wrestling and earned a certificate of participation. He had an overall record of 2-9 with five escapes. BW set a single-season school-record with 17 wins, finished 17-6 overall and 4-1 in OAC dual matches, won the 29th Annual John Summa Memorial Tournament, placed sixth at the NCAA Div. III Mideast Regional and 20th at the 2015 NCAA Div. III National

As a sophomore in 2015-2016, James competed in his second season of wrestling and earned his first varsity letter. He battled for mat time and was a backup. James compiled a 6-4 record with three pins, 17 takedowns, six escapes, five reversals and 36 total near falls. James was an Academic All-OAC selection. BW compiled a school-record 18 victories with an 18-8 overall record, won the OAC title with a perfect 5-0 record and placed an all-time best second at the NCAA Div. III Mideast Regional Tournament. BW also was 31st of 53 teams at the NCAA Division III National Championships.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION:   James Ritchie grew up in Carlisle, Ohio and graduated from Carlisle High School.

James wrestled for four years and earned four varsity letters.

As a senior, James was a District runner-up and an OHSAA State Tournament qualifier.
