BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION:   Tyler Keating competed in his third season of wrestling at Baldwin Wallace University in 2015-2016. He hopes to earn his third varsity letter.

GENERAL WRESTLING INFORMATION: As a freshman in 2013-2014, Tyler competed in his first season of wrestling and earned his first varsity letter. He competed for mat time at 184 pounds. Tyler had a 5-17 overall record with two pins, 14 escapes, nine takedowns and two reversals. BW finished 8-3 overall and 22nd at the 2014 NCAA Division III National Tournament.

As a sophomore in 2014-2015, Tyler competed in his second season of wrestling and earned his second letter. He wrestled at 197 pounds and compiled a 7-12 record with one pin, 21 takedowns, 39 escapes, three reversals and four near falls. BW finished with a school-record 17 victories, finished 17-6 overall, including a 4-1 OAC dual match mark, won the Summa Memorial Tournament title, placed sixth at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional and 20th at the NCAA Div. III National Tournament.

As a junior in 2015-2016, Tyler competed in his third season of wrestling and hopes to earn his third letter. He battled for mat time and split his time between the 184 and 197-pound weight classes. yler compiled a 6-10 record with three pins, 15 takedwons, 12 escapes and 12 near falls. BW reset the school-record for single-season wins with 18, compile an 18-8 overall and perfect 5-0 OAC record and an OAC title and place second at the 2016 NCAA Division III Mideast Regional Tournament.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION:  Tyler grew up in Fairview Park, Ohio and graduated from Fairview High School in the spring of 2013.

Tyler competed for four years in football, wrestling and track and earned a total of 12 varsity letters, including four in each sport. As a senior, Tyler was the Fairview H.S. Most Valuable Wrestler.

Academically, Tyler was a member of the Merit Roll.
