ACADEMIC MAJOR: Pre-Engineering/Physics
BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Zack Taylor competed in his third season of wrestling at Baldwin Wallace University in 2015-2016, but a midseason injury forced him to miss the rest of the season.
GENERAL WRESTLING INFORMATION: As a freshman in 2013-2014, Zack competed in his first season of wrestling and received a certificate of participation for his efforts. He competed for mat time at 141 pounds. Zack had a 12-14 overall record with one technical fall. He also totaled 21 takedowns, 22 escapes and nine total near falls. BW finished 8-3 overall and 22nd at the 2014 NCAA Division III National Tournament.
As a sophomore in 2014-2015, Zack competed in his second season of wrestling and earned his first varsity letter. He split time in the 141-pound weight class. He compiled a 13-12 record wih 18 takedowns, 13 escapes, 3 reversals, 1 near fall, and 1 pin. BW set a single-season school-record with 17 wins, finished 17-6 overall and 4-1 in OAC dual matches, won the 29th Annual John Summa Memorial Tournament, placed sixth at the NCAA Div. III Mideast Regional and 20th at the 2015 NCAA Div. III National Tournament.
As a junior in 2015-2016, Zack was competing in his third season of wrestling, but a midreseason injury forced him to miss the rest of the season. He was starting at 141 pounds and compiled a 12-15 record with two pins, 25 takedowns, 35 escapes, three reversals and 18 total near falls. BW compiled a school-record 18 victories with an 18-8 overall record, won the OAC title with a perfect 5-0 record and placed an all-time best second at the NCAA Div. III Mideast Regional Tournament. BW also was 31st of 53 teams at the NCAA Division III National Championships.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Zack grew up in Brunswick, Ohio and graduated from Brunswick High School in the spring of 2013.
Zack competed in wrestling for four years and earned four varsity letters. He had more than 100 victories during his high school career, was selected All-Medina County (by the Medina County Gazette newspaper) and was an OHSAA (Ohio High School Athletic Association) State Tournament qualifier.
Academically, Zack was a member of the Honor Roll.
