ACADEMIC MAJOR: Athletic Training and Exercise Science
BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Jacob Landers competed in four seasons of wrestling at Baldwin Wallace University and earned three varsity letters. He helped the Yellow Jackets win the 2016 Ohio Athletic Conference title.
THROUGH-THE-YEARS: Jake wrestled for four years and earned three varsity letters. He helped the Yellow Jackets to compile a 47-20 dual match record, including single-season school-records for wins as a junior (17) and senior (18) and the OAC Title in 2016.
Individually, Jake had a 26-46 career record.
As a freshman in 2012-2013, Jacob competed in his first season of wrestling and earned his first varsity letter. He was the starting 133-pounder and compiled an overall record of 5-16. Jacob totaled one pin, 11 takedowns and 20 escapes. He also had two reversals and five total near falls.
As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Jacob competed in his second season of wrestling and received a certificate of participation. He competed for mat time at 133 pounds. Jake had a 8-13 overall record with 10 takedowns, 16 escapes, six reversals and two total near falls. BW finished 8-3 overall and 22nd at the 2014 NCAA Division III National Tournament.
As a junior in 2014-2015, Jacob competed in his third season of wrestling and earned his second varsity letter. He competed at 133 pounds and compiled a 4-7 record with 11 takedowns and 10 escapes. BW finished with a school-record 17 victories, finished 17-6 overall, including a 4-1 OAC dual match mark, won the Summa Memorial Tournament title, placed sixth at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional and 20th at the NCAA Div. III National Tournament.
As a senior in 2015-2016, Jacob competed in his fourth season of wrestling and earned his third letter. He battled for mat time and split his time between the 133 and 141-pound weight classes. Jacob compiled an 8-12 overall and 1-1 OAC record, including a win versus his Ohio Northern University opponent on Seniors' & Parents' Night. The four-year varsity contributor had two pins, one technical fall, 19 takedowns, 27 scapes, two reversals and 14 total near falls. BW compiled a school-record 18 victories with an 18-8 overall record, won the OAC title with a perfect 5-0 record and placed an all-time best second at the NCAA Div. III Mideast Regional Tournament. BW also was 31st of 53 teams at the NCAA Division III National Championships.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Jake Landers grew up in Liberty Township, Ohio and graduated from Lakota East High School.
Jake wrestled for four years and earned three varsity letters. Jacob earned first-team All-Greater Miami Conference honors, was a District qualifier and a member of Team Ohio for two years.
