Horvath Earns Second Career OAC Weekly Honor

BEREA, OHIO --  Baldwin Wallace University senior No. 1 singles player Joe Horvath (North Royalton) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Player-of-the-Week.  This is the third straight week multiple Yellow Jackets have garnered OAC weekly honors.

The Baldwin Wallace University men's tennis team recorded a PERFECT, 9-0 SHUTOUT victory against OAC rival Muskingum University.  The Yellow Jackets won all 72 singles and all 24 doubles points against the Muskies to improve to a perfect 16-0 this season and have now won 45 of their last 46 dual matches dating back to last season.

Horvath highlighted the victory by defeating Muskingum's Dale De Fluiter by the scores of 6-0 and 6-0 to win his 89th career match and improve to 89-11 for his career with a .890 career winning percentage. He is second all-time at BW in singles wins. The all-time leader is James Daly (2005-2008) with 105 career victories.

The men's tennis team faces Otterbein University at 4 p.m. on Friday, April 5 in Westerville and the University of Mount Union at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 6 in Alliance in a  pair of OAC matches.
