Alex Kearney Tabbed OAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week

BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin Wallace University senior Alex Kearney (North Olmsted) was named Ohio Athletic Conference men's player of the week after helping the Yellow Jacket men's tennis team to a 6-0 record during its annual spring break trip to Hilton Head, S.C.

Kearney went 5-1 in singles play and a perfect 6-0 in doubles action in helping BW to improv to 14-0 to start the season.  The Yellow Jackets have also won 42 of their last 43 matches dating back to last season.

To date, Kearney is 13-1 in both singles and doubles play and his 60 career singles wins stands 14th in school history.

The men's tennis team is back in action this Saturday, Match 23 when it travels to Delaware to face the Battling Bishops of Ohio Wesleyan in a non-conference match at 12:00 p.m.  The OAC opener is slated for Tuesday, March 26 against Muskingum University at the "Pop" Collins Tennis Complex.
