Football Wins Fifth Straight, Streaks Past Capital

BEXLEY, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University football team won its fifth straight game as it defeated Capital University in an Ohio Athletic Conference game by a final score of 48-7 on Purmort Field inside Bernlohr Stadium.

BW (6-2, 6-1 OAC) improved to 41-12 in the all-time series against Capital (0-8, 0-7 OAC).

Offensively for the Yellow Jackets, senior quarterback Reese Wamer (Oregon/Clay) completed 10-of-14 passes for 139 yards with two touchdowns.  Senior All-OAC running back Jon Murray, Jr. (Cincinnati/Withrow) rushed for a game-high 106 yards.   Junior wide receiver Vinny Lomeo (East Amherst, N.Y./ St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute) caught four passes for 80-yards with a touchdown.  Defensively, junior linebacker Vontae Jackson (Cleveland/John Hay) recorded eight tackles.

Offensively for the Comets, senior quarterback Trevor Harrison-Rawn completed 7-of-11 passes for 36 yards and was sacked three times.  Harrison-Rawn also rushed for 36 yards on 10 carries.  Freshman running back Troi McClary gained 44 yards on seven carries with one touchdown.  Senior wide out Aralius Walters, Jr. caught two passes for 11 yards.  Defensively, senior defensive back Louie Hoersten tallied a game-high 11 tackles.

BW is back in action on Saturday, November 5 when it travels to Tiffin for its final road contest of the season against Heidelberg University at 1:30 p.m.
