BEREA, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University sixth-year head coach Jim Hilvert has announced the addition of Ethan Nichol to his coaching staff for 2022.

Nichol, who will serve as the linebackers coach, comes to Berea after serving as the linebackers coach at NCAA Division I University of Wyoming for two seasons.

"I am very excited to have Ethan become a part of the BW football family," stated Hilvert.  "Ethan brings some great experience of the linebacker unit from both NCAA Division I and III ranks. He is a bright and articulate young man that will be a great addition to the staff."

While at Wyoming, Nichol mentored three All-Western Athletic Conference (WAC) selections and one All-American.  His linebackers ranked first and second in the WAC in tackles during his two seasons.

I cannot wait to get to work with our guys and continue to build upon the storied tradition synonymous with Baldwin Wallace football."

Prior to Wyoming, he served as a linebackers coach and cornerbacks coach for four seasons at Heidelberg University.  During his tenure, Nichol coached six All-Ohio Athletic Conference players and his linebacking unit had two players that ranked first, second or third in the conference.

Nichol earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from The College of Wooster in 2016.  He then earned a Master's in Educational Leadership from Heidelberg in 2018 and an Instructional Technology Certificate from Wyoming in 2021.   While at Wooster, Nichol played four seasons of football, was a three-time Academic All-North Coast Athletic Conference selection and a National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society member during his senior season.
