Marousek Garners First Career OAC Football Weekly Honor

BEREA, Ohio --- Baldwin Wallace University junior quarterback Joey Marousek (North Royalton) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in his career.

Marousek earns his first weekly accolade after throwing two late fourth quarter touchdowns, including the game-winning touchdown with six seconds remaining, in BW's (3-2, 3-1 OAC) 33-29 victory over Marietta College last Saturday. 

In a career night, he completed 18-of-33 passes for 240 yards with four touchdowns.  Marousek threw two first half touchdowns of 34-yards and 14-yards to give the Yellow Jackets a 14-7 advantage at halftime.  He threw a 4-yard pass with 1:08 to give BW a 26-21 lead and connected on a 17-yard game-winning throw with just six seconds remaining.  His four touchdowns and 33 attempts were career-highs, and the 18 completions tied a career-best. 

In his first season in Berea, Marousek has completed 57-of-113 passes for 845 yards with nine touchdowns, including a career-long 84-yard strike.  He has also rushed four 36 yards.
