BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin Wallace University junior Katy Marshall (Medina/ Senior) has been named as the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week for her performance in two Yellow Jacket victories this weekend.
Marshall was undefeated as BW stretched its current win streak to three matches with victories versus Walsh University and OAC-rival Capital University.
Marshall posted a 2-0 singles record while competing at the No. 6 position. In doubles play, she teamed with senior Andrea Essig (Conneaut/ Ashtabula Edgewood) for a 2-0 mark at No. 3.
Versus Capital, Marshall did not lose a set in either singles or doubles competition.
For the season, Marshall is tied for the team-lead with 10 singles wins (10-6 overall) and has combined with Essig for a team-best eight doubles victories (8-9 overall).
The Yellow Jackets, 6-7 overall and 2-0 in the Ohio Athletic Conference, are idle until a non-league match versus Malone University on Tuesday, April 6 at the "Pop" Collins Courts in Berea.
