Yellow Jackets Finish Tied for Fifth At Allegheny Fall Invitational

MEADVILLE, PENNSYLVANIA
-- The defending Ohio Athletic Conference champion Baldwin-Wallace College women's golf team finished tied for fifth of 10 teams today (Monday, October 3, 2011) in the rained shortened Allegheny (Pa.) College Fall Invitational at the Country Club of Meadville.  The invitational was schedule for two days but rain shortened it to a one and final round.

This was the fourth of five fall tournaments for the Yellow Jackets.  B-W totaled 356 strokes on the par-73 and 5,818-yard Country of Meadville layout.


Sophomore Miranda Cunningham (Dayton/ Christian) finished in 16th place after firing at round of 86.  Junior Rebecca Kapusta (Independence) was second with a 22nd place finish after carding a round of 84 and sophomore Emilee Woolf (Ravenna) was tied for 23rd with a 90.  Sophomore Rebecca Jones (Hilliard/ Darby) and junior Brooke Hamilton (Cleveland/ St. Joseph Academy) finished tied for 29th after each shot a round of 91.


Playing as individuals, sophomore Sarah Allred (Akron/ Green) carded a round of 93 and junior Sarah Terrill (Cuyahoga Falls/ Cuyahoga Christian Academy) shot 110.


The Yellow Jackets conclude the fall portion of their schedule on Saturday and Sunday October 8-9 when they travel to Springfield to compete in the Clash at the Clouse hosted by Wittenberg University at the Windy Knoll Golf Course.
