Case (2-1) was led by sophomore guard Jimmy Holman's 17 points.

Case came right back with a 13-2 run to tie the score at 26-26 at 8:18 when sophomore forward Spence Boyd made a layup off a fastbreak.  The Spartans gained their first lead at 30-29 at 5:56 when Chung made a rainbow shot in the lane.

BW retook the lead with a 9-0 run to lead 38-30 at 3:26 when Krakowiak made his second of back-to-back triples.  The Yellow Jackets, powered by Crowe's 15 first half points, led 41-34 at the intermission.

BW gained its biggest lead at 19:22 when Crowe made a runner in the lane, was fouled and made the free throw for a 46-34 advantage. After Case cut the lead to eight points, BW went on an 8-2 run to take a 16-point lead at 58-42 at 15:42 when freshman guard Zack Brady (Hudson) nailed a trey from the left corner.

Case again clawed back and closed to within seven at 74-67 at 7:04, but BW came right back with its own 7-0 run to regain a 14-point bulge at 4:39 when Fairhurst nailed a triple. The closest Case would get after that point was 11 points at 82-71 with 2:49 left.
