BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION:   Kyle Payne played four years of basketball and earned four varsity letters. He was one of the best to ever play at BW and finished 10th all-time in scoring with 1,541 career points and 13th all-time with 556 rebounds.

ATHLETICS HONORS:  Kyle was a two-time All-Great Lakes Region pick by d3hoops.com and the d3hoops.com "Rookie of the Year" in 2010-2011. He was a four-time All-OAC selection, including making the first-team in 2012-2013. He also is a member of two all-tournament teams, including at the 2013 Wooster Al Van Wie Rotary Classic on November 22-23, 2013.

A MEMBER OF THE 1,000-POINT CLUB:  Kyle supassed the 1,000-point mark on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 with a game-high 24 points in a 75-65 victory at Heidelberg University.

GENERAL BASKETBALL INFORMATION: Kyle played four years of basketball, earned four letters and was one of the best to ever play at BW. He helped the Yellow Jackets compile a 58-43 record.

Individually, Kyle played in 99 career games, including 98 starts, scored 1,541 points, grabbed 556 rebounds, passed for 80 assists, made 56 three-pointer and 55 steals and had 42 blocked shots. He made 527-of-1031 career field goals (51.1 percent), including 56-of-164 three-pointers (34.1%), and 431-of-637 foul shots (67.7%).

As a freshman in 2010-2011, Kyle played his first season of basketball and earned his first varsity letter.  He started at forward, was named as the OAC's and the d3hoops.com Freshman of the Year. He also earned honorable mention All-OAC honors. Kyle also earned OAC Men's Baketball Player of the Week on Nov. 29, 2010 for his efforts againt Hiram College and was tabbed as an All-Tournament team selection at the ECAC Holiday Classic in Orlando, Florida (B-W won the tournament). He started all 24 games, led the team in scoring with 15.3 ppg., was second in rebounding at 4.8 rpg. He had a season-high 25 points on two separate occassions. B-W finished 9-16 overall.

As a sophomore in 2011-2012, Kyle played his second season of basketball and earned his second letter. He started at forward and was one of the top players in the OAC and NCAA Division III Great Lakes Region.  He was named as the OAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for his efforts in a win at Muskingum University on December 17, 2011.  Kyle was named second-team All-OAC. Kyle played in 26 games and started 24. He averaged a team-leading 14.2 ppg., was second with 5.3 rpg. and had 20 assists, 12 three-pointers, 11 assists and four blocks. BW finished 16-10 overall.

As a junior in 2012-2013, Kyle played his third season of basketball and earned his third letter. He started at forward. He became the 37th member of the BW 1,000-Point Club when he scored 24 points in a 75-65 victory at Heidelberg University on January 16. Kyle scored a career-high 26 points in a 74-64 win at Muskingum University on Jan. 12 and had a career-high 14 rebounds at Heidelberg. He earned his third career OAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week award on Jan. 21. Kyle was named first-team All-OAC and third-team All-Great Lakes Region by d3hoops.com. BW finished 19-6 overall.

As a senior in 2013-2014, Kyle played his fourth season of basketball and earned his fourth varsity letter. He was tabbed as a Division III Preseason All-American (fourth-team) by the D3hoops.com web site. Kyle earned all-tournament team honors at the 2013 Wooster Al Van Wie Rotary Classic on November 22-23, 2013. He averaged 16.2 ppg., grabbed 6.1 rpg. and had 24 assists, 16 steals, 15 blocked shots and 14 three-pointers. He earned honorable mention All-OAC accolades. BW finished 14-13 overall.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION:   Kyle grew up in Brunswick, Ohio and graduated from Brunswick High School. He played four years of basketball and earned three varsity letters. He also played four years of baseball and earned three letters.

As a junior in basketball, Kyle earned All-Northeast Ohio Conference and All-Medina-County honors.  As a senior, he earned All-NOC, All-Medina County, All-District and honorable mention All-Ohio accolades.  As a senior, Kyle averaged 15.4 ppg., 8.6 rpg. and 2.0 blocked shot- per-game.
