BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Tyler Ferrell played his third and final season of men's basketball at Baldwin Wallace University in 2013-2014.

ACADEMIC HONORS:  Tyler is a solid student who carries a 3.39 grade point average.

ATHLETIC HONORS:  Tyler earned all-tournament team honors at the 2013 Wooster Al Van Wie Rotary Classic on November 22-23, 2013.

GENERAL BASKETBALL INFORMATION: Tyler, who transferred to BW after his freshman season at Wheeling Jesuit (W.Va.) University, helped the Yellow Jackets compile a 49-29 record, including a 19-6 slate as a junior.

Individually, Tyler played in 78 career games, including 73 starts, and averaged 5.9 points and 4.0 rebounds-per-game. He also had 33 assists, 31 blocked shots, 27 three-pointers and 23 steals. He shot 46.4 percent from the floor (157-of-338), including 33.8% from three-point range (27-of-80), and 69.2% from the foul line (117-of-169).

As a freshman in 2009-2010, Tyler attended and played basketball at Wheeling Jesuit (W.Va.) University.  We requested his statistics and information from Wheeling Jesuit on numerous occassions but never received a response.

As a sophomore in 2011-2012, Tyler played his first season of basketball and earned his first varsity letter. He started all 25 games and averaged 6.9 ppg. and 4.5 rpg. with a team-high 17 blocked shots. He also had eight assists, six three-pointers and six steals.  BW finished 16-10 overall.

As a junior in 2012-2013, Tyler played his second season of basketball and earned his second letter. He started all 25 games and averaged 5.2 ppg. and 2.9 rpg. with 12 assists, 10 three-pointers, eight steals and seven blocks.  He had a season-high 17 points in a 74-64 win at Muskingum University on Jan. 12, 2013. BW finished 19-6 overall.

As a senior in 2013-2014, Tyler competed in his third season of basketball at BW and fourth overall. He earned his third letter at BW and started at the center position. Tyler averaged 5.7 ppg. and a career-high 4.7 rpg. with 13 assists, 11 three-pointers, nine steals and seven blocked shots. Tyler earned all-tournament team honors at the 2013 Wooster Al Van Wie Rotary Classic on November 22-23, 2013. At Wooster, he had back-to-back caree-highs of 18 points against Wooster on November 22, 2013 and versus Spalding (Ky.) University on Nov. 23. He had a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds versus Olivet (Mich.) College on Nov. 26, 2013. BW finished 14-13 overall.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Tyler Ferrell grew up in Brunswick, Ohio and graduated from Brunswick High School. Tyler played four years of basketball and earned four varsity letters. He also played four seasons of football and earned three letters.

In basketball, Tyler broke almost every school record at Brunswick H,S,. He was a two-time first-team All-Northeast Conference and two-time first-team All-District pick. As a junior, he was tabbed honorable mention All-Ohio and was a first-team All-Medina County choice (by the Medina County Gazette newspaper). As a senior, Tyler received Special Mention All-Ohio honors and was the Medina County Most Valuable Player (as selected by the Medina County Gazette).
