BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION: As a senior in 2013-2014, Grant played his final season of basketball and earned his fourth varsity letter. He will be remembered as one of the most prolofic three-point shooters during his era.

ACADEMIC HONORS:  Grant is a solid student who carries a 3.37 grade point average.

GENERAL BASKETBALL INFORMATION: In his four seasons in the Brown & Gold, Grant helped BW compile a 58-45 record, including a 19-6 as a junior.

Individually, Grant played in 100 games, including 12 starts, and scored 715 points, grabbed 176 rebounds, made 195 three-pointers, passed for 95 assists and made 77 steals. He shot 39.6 percent from the floor (237-of-598), 37.5% from three-point range (195-of-520) and 74.2% from the foul line (46-of-62). He also had 95 assists, 77 steals and five blocked shots.

As a freshman in 2010-2011, Grant played his first season of basketball and earned his first varsity letter. He came off the bench and saw plenty of playing time at guard. He played in 22 games, including four starts, and scored 157 points and grabbed 33 rebounds. He made 44-of-105 three-pointers for 41.9 percent shooting. He also had 16 assists and 11 steals. Grant led B-W to the ECAC Holiday Classic (in Kissimmee, Florida) tournament title and was named as the tournament Most Valuable Player and as an all-tournament team selection. BW finished 9-16 overall.

As a sophomore in 2011-2012, Grant played his second season of basketball and earned his second letter. He came off the bench and appeared in all 26 games and averaged a career-high 7.4 ppg. He also grabbed 1.9 rpg. and connected on 53-of-145 three-point attempts. Grant also contributed 30 assists and 28 steals and shot 77.8% from the free throw line. He scored a career-high 26 points against U/Mass-Boston on January 4, 2011. BW finished 16-10 overall.

As a junior in 2012-2013, Grant played his third season of basketball and earned his third letter.  He again came off the bench and played in all 25 games and averaged 6.9 ppg. and 1.1 rrpg. and canned 47-of-114 from beyond the arc. Grant also registered 17 assists and 12 steals.  BW finished 19-6 overall.

As a senior in 2013-2014, Grant played his fourth season of basketball and earned his fourth letter. He appeared in all 27 games, including eight starts, averaged 7.1 ppg. and a career-high 2.5 rpg. He also had career-highs of 32 assists and 26 steals. Grant scored a season-high 18 points in a 60-58 loss against Bethany (W.Va.) College on Dec. 21, 2013. BW finished 14-13 overall.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Grant Fairhurst grew up in Ashland, Ohio and graduated from Ashland High School. He played four years of basketball and earned two varsity letters. He also played three years of football and earned three varsity letters. He played one year of baseball and did not letter.

In basketball as a senior in 2009-2010, Grant earned first-team All-Ohio Cardinal Conference, first-team All-Area, first-team All-Ashland Times-Gazette, second-team All-District 6 and second- team All-Northwest Ohio honors.  Grant was a four-year scholar athlete honor roll student and also earned the Gym Student of the Year award as a spohomore.  Grant made nine three-pointers in a single game, shot 92% from the line, made 55 three-pointers (led all-area), 90 assists in  a season (led conference), third in conference in steals.
