BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION:   Kevin Krakowiak played four years of basketball at Baldwin Wallace University. He was a three-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection and one of the best to ever play at BW. Kevin ended his career 15th on the all-time Yellow Jacket scoring list with 1,383 career points.

RECORD:  Kevin set a BW school-record with nine three-pointers versus the University of Mount Union on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 in Berea.

HONORS:  Kevin is a three-time second-team All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection and a four-time OAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

The 1,000-Point Club:  Kevin became the 39th player in BW men's basketball history to score 1,000 points when he scored a game-high 26 points in an 101-89 win at Olivet (Mich.) College on November 26, 2013. He ended his career 15th all-time with 1,383 career points.

GENERAL BASKETBALL INFORMATION:   Kevin played in 101 career games, including 98 starts, and led the Yellow Jackets to a four-year mark of 58-43. He scored 1,383 points, grabbed 338 rebounds, made 202 three-pointers, passed for 133 assists, made 84 steals and blocked 32 shots.

As a freshman in 2010-2011, Kevin participated in his first year of basketball and earned his first varsity letter. He played in 24 games, including 21 starts, and averaged 9.5 ppg. and 2.3 rpg. He also had 34 three-pointers, 32 assists, 16 steals and four blocks. He also set both a BW and OAC-record by making 52-of-55 foul shots for 94.5 percent. BW finished 9-16 overall.

As a sophomore in 2011-2012, Kevin competed in his second season of basketball and earned his second letter. He played in 25 games and started 23 and was second on the team in scoring at 13.6 ppg.. He also grabbed 2.8 rpg. and had 40 three-pointers, 37 assists, 23 steals and 10 blocks. Kevin scored a career-high 31 points in an 80-74 win versus Heidelberg University on January 25, 2012 in Berea. He was named as the OAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week on January 30 for his efforts versus Heidelberg and Wilmington College. For his efforts, Kevin was named second-team All-OAC.

As a junior in 2012-13, Kevin played his third season of basketball and earned his third varsity letter. He was named as the OAC Player of the Week for the second time in his career on November 19, 2012 for his efforts in an 80-75 victory against No.25-ranked Bethany (W.Va.) College. He earned his third OAC Player of the Week honors on January 2, 2013 for his efforts in wins versus Olivet (Mich.) College, the University of Mount Union and King's (Pa.) College. Kevin averaged 14.6 ppg. (second), 3.8 rpg. (fourth) and had a team-best 48 three-pointers. He earned second-team All-OAC honors for the second straight season. BW finished 19-6 overall.

As a senior in 2013-2014, Kevin played his fourth season of basketball. He scored his 1,000th career point on November 26, 2013 in an 101-89 win at Olivet (Mich.) College. He had a career-high 36 points and set a BW school-record with nine three-pointers versus the University of Mount Union on February 5, 2014. Kevin earned his fourth OAC Player of the Week honor for his efforts against Mt. Union and versus Wilmington. He averaged a team-leading 16.3 ppg., grabbed a career-high 4.6 rpg. and canned a team-high 75 three-pointers. For his efforts, Kevin was a second-team All-OAC choice for the third straight season. BW finished 14-13 overall.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION:   Kevin Krakowiak grew up in Valley City, Ohio and attended Parma Heights Holy Name High School.  His family has strong ties to the school where both his father, BW Hall of Famer Mark Krakowiak, and grandfather were administrators.

While at Holy Name H.S., Kevin played basketball for four years and earned three letters.

Kevin was selected first-team All-North Coast League Conference twice (2008-09 and 2009-10) and as the NCL Most Valuable Player as a senior.  He also was named to the OHSAA (Ohio High School Athletic Association) All-Inland District team and as an honorable mention Division II All-Ohio player.

Kevin was tabbed as a The Plain Dealer Player of the Week in 2009-10, named to the GCBCA (Grearer Cleveland Basketball Coaches Association) All-Star and Sun Newspaper All-Sun-Post teams.
