Junior Point Guard Jaron Crowe Garners First OAC Weekly Honor

BEREA, Ohio -- Baldwin Wallace University junior point guard Jaron Crowe (Mentor) has been selected as this week's Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player-of-the-Week for his efforts in the Yellow Jackets road victory last week at Olivet (Mich.) College.  

Crowe, who earns his first career OAC weekly honor, scored a career-high 24 points, grabbed four rebounds and passed for six assists as the Yellow Jackets defeated the Comets by a final score of 101-89 on November 26. He made 6-of-11 shots from the floor (54.5 percent), including 4-of-7 three-pointers, and eight-of-10 foul shots.

This season, Crowe is scoring 18.0 points-per-game, grabbing 2.8 rebounds-per-game and tops BW in field goal shooting by making 23-of-38 attempts for 60.5%, including 8-of-14 three-pointers (57.1%). He also has a team-leading 25 assists (6.25/game).

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Wednesday, December 4 when they open Ohio Athletic Conference play at Ohio Northern University in the ONU Sports Center at 7:30 p.m.  BW then returns home this Saturday, December 7 when it hosts Capital University in the Rudolph Ursprung Gymnasium in the Lou Higgins Center at 3:00 p.m.
