Kevin Krakowiak Garners Fourth Career OAC Weekly Honor

BEREA, Ohio -- Senior two-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference guard Kevin Krakowiak (Valley City/Holy Name) has been selected as OAC Men's basketball Player of the Week for the fourth time in his career.

Krakowiak earned the honor because he scored 65 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as the Yellow Jackets split a pair of OAC games. He scored a career-high 36 points and set a BW school-record with nine three-pointers and had one assist and two steals in a 104-98 loss to first place the University of Mount Union in last Wednesday. Krakowiak followed that up with a game-high 29 points, including six treys, six rebounds and one steal in 37 minutes of action in a 65-61 at Wilmington on Saturday.   In the two games, he canned 21 of 42 shots from the floor for 50 percent, including 15 of 23  from three-point land for 65.2%, and 8 of 9 free throws for 88.9%.

The Yellow Jacket men's basketball team hosts cross-town rival John Carroll University on Swarm the Gym Night this Wednesday, February 12 in the Ursprung Gymnasium at 7 p.m.   The team then concludes the home portion of its regular season this Saturday, February 15 when it hosts Marietta College on Seniors' and Parents' Day in the Ursprung Gymnasium at 3 p.m.
