BEREA, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University head women's volleyball coach Kacie Ehinger was inducted into the Adrian College Athletics Hall of Fame on Friday, September 17.

The Adrian Hall of Fame was established in 1969 to recognize former athletes and coaches who have distinguished themselves in the field of intercollegiate athletics at Adrian College either by their performance on athletic teams during their undergraduate years, by their strong leadership in their profession, or their meritorious efforts on behalf of the athletic program at the College.

"I am humbled and honored to be inducted to the Adrian College Athletics Hall of Fame," Ehinger commented on her induction. "Adrian is the place that shaped me and introduced me to my best friends who became my family. It is there I first realized I wanted to get in to coaching and for my mentors there I am forever grateful. Bringing BW volleyball to play there last Saturday and share a part of where I came from, with them, was truly special. To look in the stands and see my friends, former teammates, and family at our match was amazing, an experience I will never forget."

Ehinger is amid her third season as head coach at BW. She has helped her team to a 10-3 mark so far this season, including a 3-0 sweep of her alma mater, being the first time she has coached against the Bulldogs as a head coach.

During her first two years at BW, she garnered a combined 37-12 overall record, has led five All-OAC performers, and guided 20 Academic All-OAC honorees. She currently resides in Brook Park and also serves as the Compliance Coordinator at BW.

Ehinger earned a Bachelor of Arts in health, physical education, and recreation from Adrian in 2006. She was a four-year letterwinner for the Bulldog women's volleyball team.

While at Adrian, Ehinger was a four-time All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) selection, three-year Bulldog Defensive Player of the Year honoree and a three-year team captain. In 2003, She was named the MIAA Defensive Player of the Year and is still the only women's volleyball player from Adrian to receive the award.

Today, Ehinger still holds many career and single-season records on the court for the Bulldogs. She holds the single season record for digs with 626 and digs per set with 6.02. Ehinger is the all-time career leader in matches played with 112. In addition, Ehinger ranks second in career digs with 1798 and digs per set with 4.82.

Prior to BW, Ehinger has held coaching roles at the University of Akron, Lamar (Texas) University, Marist (N.Y.) College, Defiance College, Adrian, and Siena Heights (Mich.) University.
