Women's Volleyball Congratulates Six Senior Student-Athletes

BEREA, Ohio -- The Baldwin Wallace University Athletic Department and women's volleyball program would like to congratulate senior student-athletes Maddie Bednar, Angela Dunn, Ivy Earl, Cecelia Hamisch, Morgan Martin, and Isabella Moskowitz on completing their outstanding athletic careers at the University.

The University administration, faculty, and staff congratulates these six young women on their outstanding athletic and academic careers. Their hard work, dedication and commitment to the program is evident, and is greatly appreciated. They have provided outstanding leadership and helped in setting the BW standard. Your efforts have truly made a difference both on campus and on the court.  The University also would like to wish each of you all the best of luck in your future endeavors and hope that even after graduation that you come back and visit us often. You will always be a Yellow Jacket for Life (YJ4L).

 

Bednar is a biology major and geology minor from Chagrin Falls, Ohio and a graduate of Kenston High School. She is a right-side hitter that earned her second varsity letter this fall. For her career, Bednar appeared in 17 matches. Off the court, she is a two-time Academic All-OAC performer, a Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar and carries a 3.860 grade point average. She is the daughter of Jason and Suzy Bednar.

 

 

 

 

Dunn is a psychology major from Fairview Park, Ohio and a graduate of Fairview High School. She is a defensive specialist that earned her second varsity letter this fall after transferring from Lorain Community College. In her career, Dunn appeared in 49 matches with BW and totaled 240 digs and 47 aces. This season, Dunn has recorded a career-high 184 total digs and led the team in service aces with a career-best 43. She is the daughter of Bill and Sue Dunn.

 

 

  

   

Earl is a biology and public health double major from Howell, Michigan and a graduate of Howell High School. She is an outside hitter that earned her fourth varsity letter this fall. Earl appeared in 108 career matches and ranks eighth on the school's all-time kills list with 1,143 kills. She has also totaled 1,027 career digs, 120 service aces, and 74 total blocks. She is just the fifth player in BW's history to surpass 1,000 career kills and 1,000 career digs. Earl is a three-time All-OAC selection and was BW's Most Valuable Player award winner in 2019. This past season, she posted a career-high 346 kills which was fifth in the OAC and averaged a career-best 3.60 kills per set which was second in the OAC. Off the court, she is a two-time Academic All-OAC recipient, Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar, and a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta and Chi Alpha Sigma honoraries. Earl is the daughter of Brent and Jennifer Earl.

 

  

Hamisch is a human resource management major from Union, Ohio, and a graduate of Northmont High School. She is an outside hitter that earned her fourth varsity letter this fall. Hamisch appeared in 87 career matches and totaled 785 kills, 152 digs, and 49 total blocks. This past season, she posted a career-high 351 kills which was third in the OAC. She is an All-OAC selection and was BW's Jacket Award recipient in 2019. Off the court, Hamisch is a two-time Aca­demic All-OAC honoree, a Dean's List Student, and Jacket Scholar. She is the daughter of Paul Stebel and Jennifer Limke.

 

 

 

    

Martin is a psychology major from Seven Hills, Ohio and a graduate of Trinity High School. She is a defensive specialist that earned her fourth varsity letter this fall. Martin ap­peared in 107 career matches and totaled 937 digs, 88 aces, and 57 assists. This year, she started every match and posted 286 digs which was second on the team. Off the court, she is a two-time Academic All-OAC performer, a Dean's List Student, Jacket Scholar and carries a 3.804 grade point average. Martin is the daughter of Mike and Kathy Martin.

 

 

   

 

Moskowitz is a pre-physical therapy and nursing double major from Brighton, Michigan, and a graduate of Brighton High School. She is a defensive specialist that earned her third varsity letter this fall. Moskowitz appeared in 59 career matches and totaled 244 digs, 77 assists, and 31 aces. She received BW's Stinger Award in 2019. Off the court, Moskowitz is a two-time Academic All-OAC performer, a Dean's List Student, Jacket Scholar and carries a 3.709 grade point average. She is the daughter of Matt and Corene Moskowitz.
