Complete AVCA Team Academic Award Selections

LEXINGTON, Ky.- The Baldwin Wallace University volleyball team has earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award, as announced by the organization Monday morning.

In order to qualify for the award, a team must maintain a team cumulative GPA of 3.30 on a 4.0 scale. BW was one of 1,126 programs in the nation to claim this honor and only one of 175 Divison III women's teams, thanks to a 3.48 team cumulative GPA.

Teams from NCAA Division I, II, and III; NAIA women; two-year colleges; the NCCAA; collegiate men; collegiate beach volleyball; and high school girls and boys programs are eligible for this award.

BW concluded the 2018 campaign with an overall record of 27-5 and 7-3 mark in the Ohio Athletic Conference. The Yellow Jackets advanced to the OAC Tournament semifinal for the first time since 2016.
