BW Women Tracksters Take Second at OAC Gold Split

MARIETTA, OHIO –  The Baldwin Wallace University women's outdoor track and field team finished second at the annual Ohio Athletic Conference Gold Split Meet at Marietta College's Don Drumm Stadium. This was the third meet of the spring for the Yellow Jackets and the first scored meet.

The Yellow Jacket women scored 141 points to place second. Mount Union was the women's team champion.

In the field events, junior Victoria Brown (Berlin Center/Western Reserve) won both the high jump with a leap of five feet and seven inches and discus with a throw of 119'2". Her leap of 5'7" tied a season-best and ranks fourth in Division III this year.

In the running events, senior sprinter Kaylan Lemon (Canton/Massillon Perry) won the 100-meter dash in a time of 12:42 and the 200-meter dash as she crossed the finish at 25.97.   Also winning were senior Shainia Kovatch (Parma/Valley Forge), who won the 5,000-meter run in a time of 18:54.31, and junior Brooke Hradisky (Aurora), who won the 800-meter run as she crossed the finish in a time of 2:22.36.
