Yellow Jacket Women Throwers Compete at Findlay Meet

FINDLAY, OHIO – The top Baldwin Wallace University women's indoor throwers competed at the unscored University of Findlay open meet.

The Yellow Jacket women were led by freshman Kim Gallavan (Auburn Township) who placed 14th in the weight throw at 44'0.5".

In addition to Gallavan, freshmen Maggie Urban (Cleveland) was 22nd in the weight throw with a toss of 34'11" and was the lone BW competitor in the shot put as she had a mark of 32'3.50" to place 21st.

Also competing in the weight throw were juniors Alex Shaw (Pittsburgh, Pa./Bishop Canevin) and Krista Wharton (Cincinnati /Colerain).  Shaw was 23rd with a throw of 33'1" and Wharton was 24 with a mark of 31'9.25".

The Yellow Jacket track and field teams are back in action on Friday, February 8 when BW hosts the Mid-February Meet on the Harrison Dillard Track at 5:00 p.m.  Fans can follow all the action live at http://homepages.bw.edu/~stats/track/feb
