BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin Wallace University has added Jordan Hill, a 2009 graduate of the University, as a graduate assistant coach for cross country and track and field. Hill returns to her alma mater after spending the past three years at Bluffton University. She will be responsible for the Yellow Jacket sprinters and hurdlers.

Hill, a native of Carrollton, Ohio, spent the 2009 through 2012 academic years as an assistant coach at Bluffton University for the men's and women's cross country and track teams. She was responsible for the training and development of the sprinters and hurdlers, conditioning of the entire program and assisting the head coach with all aspects of recruiting and meet management. Hill also wrote feature stories and recaps for the sports information office and supervised team study tables.  In addition, she earned a Master's of Business Administration degree while at Bluffton.

"Jordan is a solid young woman who has both represented the University well as a student-athlete and did great things as an assistant coach at Bluffton," said veteran BW Head Coach Dr. Bill Taraschke, who is in his 28th season at BW and has won nearly 50 Ohio Athletic Conference titles in cross country and track. "Jordan is extremely knowledgeable about track and field, is an extremely intelligent young woman and we look forward to her making an impact on our current student-athletes.

"Jordan will mainly focus on the hurdling and sprinting events," continued Taraschke.  "We feel adding her to the coaching staff was definitely the right thing to do."

"Jordan Hill is going to be an outstanding coach" said fifth-year Athletic Director Kris A. Diaz. "As a student-athlete, she was exceptional and has done great thing at Bluffton University as the assistant men's and women's cross country and track coach. We welcome her back to the BW family."

Hill was an outstanding sprinter for the Yellow Jackets from 2006-2009. She was the BW Most Outstanding Sprinter and the recipient of the Paul "Sparky" Adams Most Outstanding Female Track Athlete in 2009. Hill earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication studies and also served as a student assistant in the University Relations Office.

In addition to her track and academic exploits at BW, shewas a member of the Dean's List and the Lambda Pi Eta National Communication Honor Society, served as a New Student Orientation Leader (2008) and was a member of the Alpha Phi Sorority (2005-2009) where she served as its Vice President for Scholarship (2008-2009) and Director of Open Enrollment (2007-2008).
