KENT, OHIO –   Seven of the Baldwin Wallace University men's and women's throwers ended the 2013 indoor season today (Saturday, February 16, 2013) at the unscored Kent State University Open Meet.

Throwing for the Yellow Jacket women were junior Alex Shaw (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Bishop Canevin), freshman Kim Gallavan(Auburn Township) and freshman Maggie Urban (Cleveland). Gallavan finished 15th overall in weight throw with a distance of 44' 0" and finished tenth in shot put with a toss of 40' 7". Urban finished 20th overall in weight throw with a distance of 41' 1¾" and finished 51st in shot put with a toss of 28' 9¾". Shaw finished 31st overall in weight throw with a distance of 35' 10½".

The 2013 outdoor season begins on Friday and Saturday, March 8-9 when the Yellow Jackets travel to South Carolina to compete at the Coastal Carolina University Relays. After spending March 10-14 in Florida training, the BW men and women head to compete at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte 49er Invitational Meet on Friday and Saturday, March 15-16.
