BW Women Finish First at Wooster

WOOSTER, OHIO – The Baldwin Wallace University women's indoor track and field team finished first at The College of Wooster Fighting Scot Invitational Meet today inside the new Scot Center. This was the third indoor meet of the winter for the Yellow Jackets.

The BW women finished first out of five schools with 184 points.

The Yellow Jacket women were led by freshmen Abby Snow (Massillon/Jackson), Kim Gallavan (Auburn Township) and junior Brook Hradisky (Aurora).  Snow finished first in the long jump with a leap of 16'08.00".  Gallavan finished first in the weight throw with a mark of 44'06.25" and first in the shot put with a mark of 39'08.75".  Hradisky placed first in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:25.99.

In addition, freshman Savannah Moore (Burbank/Northwestern) finished third in the women's weight throw with a mark of 40'07.75".  In the women's shot put, freshmen Kristin Whitlatch (Canton) and Maggie Urban (Cleveland) took second and third with marks of 34'07.50" and 34'05.50", respectively.   

The Yellow Jacket track and field teams are back in action on Friday, February 8 when BW hosts the Mid-February Meet on the Harrison Dillard Track at 5:00 p.m.
