Perrine Places Ninth in Weight Throw at Nationals

GRINNELL, IOWA -- Junior thrower Cristina Perrine (Middleburg Heights/ Midpark) placed ninth in the weight throw today (Friday, March 9) on the first day of the 2012 NCAA Division III National Track & Field Championship Meet at Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa.

Perrine, who also competed in the discus at the 2011 NCAA Division III Outdoor National Championship Meet, had a toss of 54'7.5". She missed earning Division III All-America accolades by 2.5".  The top eight in each event earn Div. III All-America honors.
