BEREA, OHIO -- Two members of the Baldwin-Wallace College women's cross country and track and field teams have been selected to the 2011-12 Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference team.

Junior All-OAC sprinter Lauren Nanni (Parma/ Padua Fransiscan) and senior distance runner Judy Patterson (Aliquippa, Pa./ Monaca Center). This was Patterson's second Academic All-OAC selection and the first for the other for Nanni

Patterson graduated this spring Cum Laude with a 3.94 grade average and with a degree in marketing and public relations. In cross country, the three-year letterwinner had a career-best finish of 52nd of 135 runners at the OAC Championships and 124th of 269 runners at the All-Ohio Meet. This season, she placed 88th of 157 runners at the OAC Meet and 146th of 317 runners at the All-Ohio Meet. Patterson had her best season of track this year. At the 2012 OAC Indoor Championship Meet, she placed a career-best 11th in the 5,000-meter run and 20th in the 3,000 meters. At the 2012 OAC Outdoor Championships, she placed a career-best ninth in the 10,000 meters and 13th in the 5,000 meters. Patterson is a Dean's List student, a Jacket Scholar and a member of the Dayton C. Miller, Alpha Lambda, Lambda Pi Eta and Chi Alpha Sigma honor societies. She also received the Academic Excellence Award for having the "Highest Grade Point Average" for the cross country and track teams in 2011 and 2012.  

Nanni carries a 3.7 grade point average in B-W's Business Honors Program. She is a Dean's List student, a Jacket Scholar, and a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society. She had her best season as a collegian this spring. At the 2012 OAC Indoor Championship Meet, Nanni placed 12th in the 60-meter dash and ran on the fourth place 4 x 200-meter relay team.  At the 2012 OAC Outdoor Championship Meet, she placed 16th in the 200-meter dash and 19th in the 100 meters and ran on the fourth place 4 x 100-meter relay team.  In the classroom, she is a Dean's List student and a Jacket Scholar.
