Perrine and Purnell Compete in Discus at Nationals

CLAREMONT, CALIFORNIA --  Baldwin-Wallace College junior Cristina Perrine (Middleburg Heights/ Midpark) and senior Leslie Purnell (Springfield Central Catholic) competed in the discus on the first day of the 2012 NCAA Division III Outdoor National Track & Field Championships at Claremont (Calif.) Mudd-Scripps College. This is the first of three days of competition.

Perrine and senior Purnell  placed 15th and 18th respectively. Perrine had a throw of 138'1" and Purnell tossed it 133'10".

Tomorrow, Purnell will compete in the shot put and the 4x100 relay runs in its final.
