Women’s Soccer Falls to Wooster in Final Non-Conference Game

WOOSTER, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's soccer team fell to The College of Wooster in its final non-conference game of the season by a final score of 3-1 on the Carl Dale Field.

BW Leaders (5-4)

  • Freshman forward Sydni Mudge (Birch Run, Mich./Birch Run) scored the lone goal for the Yellow Jackets.
  • Sophomore forward Ella Barth (Highland/Mayfield) got her first assist of the season.
  • Sophomore goalkeeper Abbey Pheiffer (Northville, Mich./Novi) led with four saves on the five shots she faced. 

Wooster Leaders (5-3-2)

  • Hallie Krzys led the Fighting Scots with two goals.
  • Amanda Flory recorded four saves. 

First Half (Wooster 2-1)

  • Krzys scored the first goal for Wooster at 14:28, giving them an early lead.
  • At the 37-minute mark, Wooster got a second point on the board when Mary Sirois found the back of the net. 
  • The Yellow Jackets found their lone goal when Mudge chipped the ball over the goalie, scoring her first career goal off a pass from Barth

Second Half (Wooster 3-1)

  • At 61 minutes, Wooster scored a third goal when Hallie Krzys slid a low ball past the goalie into the net. 
  • The Yellow Jackets led the match with five corner kicks to Wooster's four. 

The Yellow Jackets return to action on Saturday, October 1st when they travel to Marietta to face their first Ohio Athletic Conference opponent Marietta College. Kickoff is at 2:00 p.m. on Marietta Field.
