Women’s Soccer Blanks Muskingum on Seniors’ Night

BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's soccer team shuts out Muskingum University in an Ohio Athletic Conference and Seniors' Night game by a final score 3-0 on the Tressel Field inside the George Finnie Stadium.

Prior to the game BW (8-6, 3-2 OAC), honored its five senior student-athletes.

Yellow Jacket Leaders

  • Freshman midfielder/forward Mary Litzinger (Sardinia/Eastern Brown) scored two goals
  • Junior All-OAC forward Sydney Rice (North Royalton) had one goal
  • Senior Academic All-0AC midfielder Bella Reigle (Niles/McKinley) added an assist
  • Senior goalkeeper Maddie Hofmann (Olmsted Township/Olmsted Falls) made three saves
  • Sophomore goalkeeper Katie Scott (Lewis Center/Olentangy) made two saves 

Muskingum Leaders (2-9-3, 0-5 OAC)

  • Junior goalkeeper Kelly Buck made 14 saves
  • Sophomore All-OAC midfielder Morgan Meisel had two of the seven Fighting Muskies seven shots 

2nd Half (BW, 3-0)

  • 63:55         Rice unassisted goal
  • 67:44         Litzinger unassisted goal
  • 75:22         Litzinger goal assisted by Reigle

BW is back in action on Wednesday, October 19 when it travels to Tiffin for an OAC game against Heidelberg University at the Hidden Valley Soccer Complex.  Kickoff is slated for 4 p.m.   The Yellow Jackets return home to the friendly confines of the Tressel Field on Saturday, October 22 at 7 p.m.
