KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Baldwin Wallace University men's and women's soccer programs have been recognized as a United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award winner for their exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2022-23 academic year

BW was one of total of 801 soccer teams (307 men, 494 women) that posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The Yellow Jackets were also one of total 179 schools that had both their men's and women's programs recognized.

Under the direction of head coach Jim Wojtkun, the women's team finished the 2022-23 academic year with a 3.56 grade point average. While the men's team, managed by head coach Reid Ayers carried a 3.29 grade point average for the 2022-23 academic year.

The BW women open the 2023 campaign on Saturday, September 2 when it travels to Erie, Pennsylvania for in its first game of the Herb Lauffer Memorial Tournament in Erie, Pa. against host Penn State-Behrend.  The Ohio Athletic Conference Schedule begins at home on September 30 against Marietta College.

The Yellow Jacket men also open their 2023 season on September 2 at the annual Herb Lauffer Memorial Tournament against North Central (Ill.) College.  The OAC schedule begins on September 30 with a road game against Marietta College.
