Three Women’s Soccer Student-Athletes Tabbed to College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Three Baldwin Wallace University women's soccer student-athletes have been selected to the 2022 College Sports Communicators (CSC) NCAA Division III Academic All-District Team.

Senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC midfielder Maddie Farrell (Macomb, Mich./Dakota), junior Academic All-OAC forward/midfielder Bailey Hall (Lewis Center/Olentangy) and sophomore goalkeeper Katie Scott (Lewis Center/Olentangy) have all been selected to the CSC Academic All-District team for the first time in their careers.

This past season, Farrell appeared in 18 games and made 17 starts. She scored four goals and had a career-high four assists for a career-best 12 points. Farrell took 40 shots with 22 on goal. Academically, Farrell carries a 3.74 grade point average as an accounting and finance double major. She is Dean's List student, a Jacket Scholar and a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society. In her career, Farrell has appeared in 75 games with 60 starts. She has scored 13 goals with four assists for 30 points. She has taken 126 shots with 64 on goal. 

Hall appeared in 18 games and made two starts. She took four shots with one on goal. Academically, Hall has earned a perfect 4.0 grade point average as a neuroscience and psychology double major. She is a Dean's List student, a Jacket Scholar, and a member of the Nu Rho Psi Neuroscience and Pi Gamma Mu Social Sciences honoraries.  For her career, Hall has appeared in 48 games and made eight starts. She has scored one goal and added one assist for three points. She taken 27 shots with 13 on goal.

Scott, who garners her first career honor, appeared in 17 games, and made 15 starts in goal this season. She posted a 6-9-1 record while playing 1,378:38 minutes. Scott was fourth in the OAC and led the team with 91 saves while posting a .743 save percentage. She also registered three shutouts. Scott gave up 28 goals while allowing 1.83 goals per game. Academically, she has a perfect 4.0 grade point average as a nursing major. Scott is also a Dean's List student. For her career, Scott has appeared in 33 games and made 30 starts in net. She has played a total of 2,805.57 minutes in goal while posting a 14-16-1 record. Scott has been a part of six shutouts. She has made 169 saves and allowed 55 goals. Scott has a career save percentage of .754 and a 1.76 goals allowed average.

BW finished the season with a trip to the OAC Quarterfinals and an overall record of 9-9-1 with a 4-4-1 mark in the OAC. The Yellow Jackets have made 10 consecutive OAC Tournament appearances.
