Women’s Soccer Falls to Ohio Northern

ADA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's soccer team fell to Ohio Northern University in an Ohio Athletic Conference match by a final score of 2-0 at Kerscher Stadium. 

BW Leaders (9-8, 4-4 OAC)

  • Sophomore goalkeeper Katie Scott (Lewis Center/Olentangy) recorded five saves in the match.

ONU Leaders (11-1-4, 6-0-2 OAC)

  • Bri Straus scored both goals for the Polar Bears.
  • Becky Moss had one save.

First Half (Tie 0-0)

  • ONU had nine shots against BW's one.
  • The Polar Bears had four corner kick opportunities.

Second Half (ONU 2-0)

  • Straus opened up the scoring in the 50th minute off of a corner kick ball.
  • Eight minutes later, Straus was scored the second point for the Polar Bears off of another corner kick opportunity.
  • Scott recorded four saves in the half.

The Yellow Jackets will be back in action on Saturday, October 29th when they travel to Columbus, Ohio where they will face OAC opponent Capital University. The match starts at 7:00 p.m. on Purmort Field inside Bernlohr Stadium.
