BEREA, Ohio - The Baldwin Wallace University women's soccer team fell to Otterbein University in an Ohio Athletic Conference match by a score of 2-0 on the Tressel Field inside of George Finnie Stadium.
BW Leaders (9-7, 4-3 OAC)
- Sophomore goalkeeper Katie Scott (Lewis Center/Olentangy) recorded eight saves.
Otterbein Leaders (9-4-2, 5-1-1 OAC)
- Junior forward Anjuli Anderson recorded a goal and an assist.
- Freshman midfielder Camryn Earl scored Otterbein's second goal.
- Freshman midfielder Ava Bruns registered one assist.
- Freshman goalkeeper Ella Schwertfager held the Yellow Jackets scoreless with four saves.
First Half (1-0, Otterbein)
- Otterbein's Anderson opened the scoring with a goal in the 41st minute off an assist by Bruns.
- Scott tallied six first-half saves for the Yellow Jackets.
- Otterbein attempted nine shots in the half, seven of which were on goal.
- BW recorded five shots in the half, including three shots on goal.
Second Half (2-0 Otterbein)
- Earl extended Otterbein's lead to 2-0 with a goal in the 53rd minute, with the assist going to Anderson.
- Otterbein tallied eight shots in the second half, while holding BW to three.
- Scott added two more saves.
The Yellow Jackets return to action this Wednesday, October 26th, when they travel to Ohio Northern University in another OAC contest. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. at Kerscher Stadium in Ada.
